This shitajiki is released in 2002 in order to promote the Saint Seiya Calendar 2002, the item is not for sale and it is so rare in the market. The illustration is same as the cover of Saint Seiya Calendar 2002 drawn by Shingo Araki and Michi Himeno, and this is one of the illustrations I like the most among my collection.

Although in Internet you can find this illustration, however, the quality is so poor, since this print is blurry, and the color is weird, the scan output is as follow:

Since the original quality of the shitajiki is so poor, no matter how you use Photoshop to adjust, you cannot reproduce the color as the official small image shown.

However, since this illustration is so rare, no matter how difficult I still wanna reproduce its original color. Since the calendar cover uses the same illustration, the easiest way is just to scan the calendar. Sadly......the material of the calendar cover is metallic paper; the scan output of it is just a black image...... However, it still can reflect the color of the character faces, therefore I cut the faces out and paste on the shitajiki illustration.

After I used the calendar character images, adjusted the color of Saint clothes and background of the shitajiki, the result is perfect, and the difference is so huge when compared as the original scan :D I hope you will understand that every webmaster put so much effort on each of their Saint Seiya image (if not stolen from other site!!!), not only simply take a photo of it, we need to use so much time to scan and retouch the images...... for this illustration I used over 8 hours to retouch it ><
